I made this conlang after getting dissapiointed of using AI from the last one. THIS conlang used NO AI whatsosever. I used the dictonary of Twankstas Prusa for Prussian words,
and changed them and added new ones to make this conlang.
Kalbveitian is a constructed language in the Indo-European family. It is in the Baltic
branch in the western variety. Which makes it a sister language to Prussian. I used no
AI at all to make this conlang.
Old Prussian had many cases. Kalbveitian has none, but a suffix ending tis works as
a means of showing possession as if it was a genitive/possessive marker.
Around 800 CE in an alternate universe, an early group of west Balts moved into where
modern day Belarus is.
They settled themselves in a mountainous area. They were a
very pagan culture, which slowly leaned over to Christanty after missionaries came
around 1343. They had a prominent relationship with the Latgalians, and thus some of
their words came into Kalbveitian language. German invaders came later and caused a
good influence on the conlang as well.
Mostly, Russian has dominated the region and some few ethnic Kalbveits live in the
region. Only 430 speak the language, and it is endangered. The reason why you cannot
find them is because none of this is happening in our universe.
The name that the Kalbveits have comes from 2 of their native words, Kalbian which
means sword, and Veitengs which means warrior.
The Kalbveits were people who
believed that men should be strong and respected warriors in life. They made young
boys go to school and made them duel, and fight in wars. They made them punch hard
things, and break glass with just a blow of a fist. They did not give women this privilege.
